there are a few, some of the higher end uni's maybe ruled as, places like KCL, UCL and Imperial

not having at least A/s chem closes a lot of doors that you can look at, is there no way they can pick it up this year

you maybe lucky with newcastle, A Levels

ABB normally including Biology, and preferably Chemistry at A or AS level. GCSE Chemistry or Biology (or Dual Award Science) and Mathematics required (minimum grade C) if not offered at A or AS level. General Studies not accepted.

i know from my own uni, that it says on the website BB-CC in Chemistry or Biology and a second science or equivalent, but they like you to have

i'm not listing them all(not sounding mean), as there will be a few, and i don't know all of them,

have a look through that, then if you see a uni that dosn't want it, then go on the uni website to see what they say

okay this was 6 years ago but I do biology, psychology, German and geography at AS and love the look of biomed- are my chances tiny?? :frown:
Im in the same boat Imaginecats! I do Biology, Psychology and History A levels, but really want to do biomed at newcastle, its so stressful that my chances are limited because this time last year i had no idea what i wanted to do and i didnt pick the right a levels.
You can do biomedical sciences without A-level chemistry, you just have to look around and find some that'll accept you without it! I know QMUL and Brighton don't expect it (although Brighton does then make you do a top-up course in chemistry once you're actually on the course and there are probably other universities that do this too).

omds! I've just received my results for GCSEs. I want to take the same subject you did and do Biomedicine. I would take chemistry however, I don't enjoy it and I'm not particularly good at it either. I really would love to do Biomedicine but should I pick these or not?

Chemistry at GCSE is a lot different to A Level. There's a lot of maths involved at A2.

At AS Level it's a lot of nomenclature and electron shells, not as much maths that's for sure.
