Equipment for A-levels question

I'm just wondering a few things about equipment to take for sixth form. A lot of people said they are taking folders and notepads and I can understand folders but why exactly notepads? I mean the sixth form/college gives exercise books right - wouldn't it just be better to write there or is it better to have a notepad to make extra notes?

I'm not exactly sure if it's worth it so that's why I'm just wondering to see what most people think or some who are in their second year if they would recommend getting the pads and stuff.

Any equipment help is appreciated.
Does the sixth form give you exercise books? Mine didn't but then neither did my secondary school.
I would be suprised if your sixth form/college gave you equipment... I was always under the impression you took your own! anyway notebooks are usless imo... get a big batch of A4 lined paper and put it in a folder!
Well, this probably won't help cos every school'll differ, but mine supplied us with exercise books/paper all the way up to sixth form, and then stopped when we got there. So now pretty much everyone uses notepads.
It might be worth taking one for the first couple of weeks just in case?
I got exercise books in sixth form for bio, chem and physics, but not for maths presumably because the cohort was the largest and it would have been too expensive to cater for everyone.
My sixth form doesn't supply exercise books or anything but they are all different. So you have to take an A4 notepad around with you. But you get used to it don't worry. Just take the usual stuff you used in lower school , like pen, pencil, rubber, ruler and that's all you'll need unless you do maths/sciency stuff. Coloured pens are also handy. And a folder for each subject is usually handy as are dividers.
Well I've been in two sixth forms and botyh of them, you provide your own writing material.
Depending on the sixth form, you may also need to provide your own books.
So basically, you need

Bag

Text Books (unless provided)

Pencil case (with pens please )

Folder (and a binder at home)

Calculator (Unless unnecessary)

Money for food (unless you get free meals)

Well I've got school tomorrow (my first day) and I have no idea. I mean, they never said anywhere that I needed to bring my own equipment and I had to pay a £50 deposit for books and stuff but I don't know if that includes exercise books or just textbooks.

Usually only covers textbooks. If you lose one for instance, thats a cost to the school.
It depends school to school as to what they supply. My one provides maths books however all other subjects we need to get our own folders and supply our own paper.

The £50 deposit would more than likely have been text books
i only use exercise books for infants and primary school and general notes nowadays
My college didn't provide anything. We had to get our own text books, folders, lined paper etc. I thought it was the same everywhere...clearly not. lol
Pleas do I need to get a calculator while doing a levels business studies?
