Its time to destroy PC in this country, its gone WAY to far. I want to take it back to the same level as the 1940s.

In the 40s they would have just beaten him up a bit. Do you find it that astonishing that it isn't politically correct for police to beat up drunk people?

This isn't a new level at all. PC has been much worse that this, but wtf?!

Whilst PC irritates the hell out of me, this guy deserves it, for behaving like an idiot.
A balliol English student calling a police horse gay, what was he thinking?!

lol
It sounds like a spoof to me. It has nothing to do with political correctness though.
PS: And yes I would agree that freedom of speech and expression must have limits, for example where it compromises national security, unity, causes dissent or disturbs the peace.

Actually, in the true spirit of PC'ness the police officer should be fired for being a homophobe since he obviously found the accusation of homosexuality to be offensive.

Seriously, who cares about this?
This is a crap example of PC being used inappropriately.

If anything, this guy should have been arrested for disrespecting authority and acting like an idiot. He deserved it.

The guy is an idiot and he deserved it. He was probably arrested for being drunk not for calling the horse gay.
The term is 'Political Correctness' or 'Politically Correct'. Not 'Political Correct'.

Just so you know.

Around Mosely's time. Yes, that's right, a good old pogrom.

I'd be in hospital every other week!

I think the young man was behaving in an unacceptable manner and deserved cautioning. The use of the word "gay" as an insult is a horrible trend that should be stopped.

I belive in freedom of speech, and if people want to use the word "gay" as a negative then they should be free to do so.

I am a wholehearted advocate of freedom of speech, when that freedom does not impinge upon other freedoms- such as the right of a minority group to protection from the sort of discrimination which I believe the derogatory use of the word "gay" incites.

Freedom of speech is admirable, when that freedom does not threaten others' freedom to go unmolested.
