I've actually recently improved my sleeping problems and that is through jogging/ walking for a mile at around 10pm then I'm asleep by 2am. Sleeping tablets were more like wakey wakey tablets (especially kalms!)... but yeah atleast I've stopped waking up at random intervals in the night. Although I'm dreading post exam period... this is when I'll probably get it real bad! Suppose it doesn't help 1/2 my family have been/ are on anti- depressants!! lol
I wish normal things like exercise and *surprise* tiredness were enough to get me to sleep.. but sadly my brain is far too overactive. They actually did a brain scan when I was a kid and said I had abnormal brain waves (gee thanks!) :banghead:

Ok pardon if I'm really ignorant, but what on earth is that? (this is where I cite my 'grew up in south africa therefore culturally uneducated' clause)

Comfiest pillow in the entire world. Fall into one and you might as well declare yourself in hibernation.

where can you buy this pillow from? Ive started to have trouble with sleeping again, all week, been sleeping for hour and waking up and staying up for hours, and having weird dreams in the morning. Last night didnt sleep at all, but managed to get a few hours during the afternoon.

They used to be called Jonesy's years ago, I think a different company makes them. This is the sort of thing I mean:

Expensive pillows are the best. 9 times out of ten you can't get to sleep because your pillow isn't fluffed up properly, or your mattress is too firm/bumpy. Go for a "moulds to the shape of yor buttcheeks" thing. Best night's sleep you'll ever get.

Is it maybe this one type I'm thinking of that was recommended for folk with back issues. Was foam, but it had kinda specialised grid in it that sort of massaged you if you rubbed against it.. *sorry* Lol.. extremely hard to describe!

I'm sure you're right, I've been through all sorts of phases where it had to be shallow flat single pillows.. and then big fluffy double.. it seems to fluctuate!?

I just cant seem to find a good position to sleep in. Especially in these muggy nights. I have a very comfortable mattress and pillow. Its just the position. I like to sleep side-ways with either one leg on top of my other leg (which gives me a dead leg) or both out and scrunched up (which gives me a tummyache in the middle of the night). I dont like lying on my back, I find that triggers palpitations, heart beats fast out of the blue. Lying on my belly squashes my boobs which I hate and I've been told by the doc never to do that. I find that sleeping with my hands under my pillow is very comfortable, but also ends up being a dead hand in the middle of the night, so I wake up.

    What are your sleeping positions?
Arghhh does anyone know any comfortable positions for me?

I know the feeling. My hangup is my neck..my pillow's comfortable but my neck goes through stages where it needs different heights of pillow! I usually sleep with an arm under my head.. and that goes dead.. its kind of rubbish. Its always my side though. Can't breathe properly on my back.. or my front! And its always my right side for some reason..

i have this thing where if i think my neck's crinkled up i can't sleep for ages, until it's not crinkled, which can take a hell of a long time!
