Tick tick tick, more seconds drain away, never to return, no-one will know to what else they could have amounted to. 'Well, I had a good time at least', the thread thought to itself, 'but why can't I get rid of the feeling that in 5 years time, I'll just be forgotten, lying as a relic in the database, buried deep within the files'.

Another voice within itself chose this moment to speak up:

Comforted by the universal inevitability of it all, the thread wanted to know more...

Well maybe its time a mod for this thread only was appointed out of the medics that still use it or shoch horror a warning is placed in the thread tittle and it aint modded. TBH im always around here and we rearly post anything against the site rules

probably wont happen :/ it's not even hygeia that gets to decide that. there's a hierarchy you know.

you know im not saying i hate you guys. as i think my viewpoints are getting across as which is totally wtf.

i like this thread. i get along with most people (or i did anyway until today i guess :rolleyes:

) and i wish everyone got along fine. hell i wish i was still an applicant so i could spam with useless **** still. you dont know me from previously but 90% of my post count is from this thread. and i loved every minute of posting here.

but im not ive moved on i dont belong. i still come bck for whatevers occasionally but not as much anyway.

i still want this thread to live. if it wants to live, which i see it does. so even if it's moved to chat it'll carry on being a medchat thread and 17 year olds will spam but they will be told to **** off, as done previously

besides if it's as cliquey as it is now they wont be able to penetrate it anyway. so im not sure what the problem is.

Hmm the medics and applicants want it to remain in the medicine sub forum which is meant to be for the medics and applicant anyway. I dont see what the problem with it staying here is really when thats what people want.

TBH i have a feeling that if this locked and another not created the mods will just get sick of people attempting to restart it in here. If everyone against a new one being created why not just let this one run above 10k posts then eveyone wins

Hygeia shouldn't move the thread on the basis that she doesn't want to mod it. If she doesn't want to, appoint someone else to. Popular threads (call it spam, call it chat..whatever, it is still busy) shouldn't be closed just because there is a lack of moderator desire.

I agree with the fact that medics and applicants should have a random chat/spam page that is within the medical subforum.

besides hasnt anyone realised it's not only her that's a mod in this forum?

I believe something to chat in should stay here. If there doesn't then applicants won't have anywhere to chat to each other (even though that doesn't happen now), and with no provision for them chats will start to overrun into every single thread in this forum, which will annoy people a lot more than this single dumping ground. Whether it is then important to try and get more applicants to come and join in with chatting is something that will then be up for debate.

Although I have to admit a slight confusion - what is the difference between this current incarnation of the thread and the travesty that will occur if it is moved to chat and "spammed by 17 year olds"? As far as I can see only the age changes. But that can't be a plea for exclusivity from the regulars can it?
