Lost my debit card.. will I need to inform Student Finance for my Uni Loan?

I've lost my debit card tonight!! .. will I need to inform Student Finance for my Uni Loan.. i've cancelled my old debit card and a new one will be coming soon, will I need to inform Student Finance about this?

No, the student finance will be transferred to your account via BACS and has nothing to do with your debit card. It's down to sort code and account number.

. If you need cash whilst you don't have the card, you can withdraw money from your account with a cheque written out to cash and some ID.

i am having trouble with my normal bank & can’t get money put in at the moment so would i be able to get my loan on my credit card to keep it there for the time being ?
