Debate society topics

Im just about to set up a debate society at my school- Im in yr 12- I really want it to be a success and for this the first topic being really interesting is integral. I go to a girls grammar school so any relevant topics that will lure them in would be such a great help. Thanks xxxx

Are you doing formal BP debating (i.e. "This House would invade Zimbabwe") or more informal stuff?

YEAR 12 thanks guys :P Um fairly serious, I'm getting guest speakers in eg the mayor and headteacher ect but I really wanted a topic that everyone would just love to rant on about and get people turning up. What's your idea of the ideal debate topic? Thanks for that website! Perfect! x

Some of the best BP debators I've ever met have been from girls grammar schools.
