Every autumn I have problems picking a pair of boots to help me through the winter! I don't like Uggs for a start; I want a pair of black, perhaps a little slouchy boots up to just below the knee to wear with skinny jeans or tights with skirts or dresses in the autumn and winter. Not too expensive either (below £80 if poss though if I loveeeeee them I might compromise!)

I find it just impossible! Pos rep if you can help me find some I like. Last year I had some from Schuh but SOMEHOW lost one of the pair!

I think they're Carvela or Kurt Geiger- I tried them on in House of Fraser a while ago, they're lovely!

I got a nice pair from Blowfish in the end, I really love their boots (I've got two pairs now!!) you can get them in Office and House of Fraser, and they're quite reasonably priced, mine cost £75.

Rocket dog also do some nice ones which aren't too expensive.

Look around online at Office, Schuh etc. and get an idea of what you like.

I went on a boot hunt in Office and Schuh the other day, both had some really nice ones. They weren't really my thing, but nice nonetheless!

If you haven't checked Office already: http://www.office.co.uk/perl/go.pl/s...ebcode_filter=

or Schuh http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/womens_main_frameset.asp

I did look at some Blowfish ones that were really nice, an ankle pair and a knee high pair - sadly, neither were leather, so I wasn't really prepared to pay £65/£75 respectively for either Ended up with some leather mid-calf/knee ones by Dr Martens (not the lace ups..) at £85 instead. They should last years, so yay, investment.
