I will arrive at Oxford in a few weeks to attend a master of science. I come from Spain and at our universities usually there is no dress code. I have even seen people with a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops

I guess Oxford is far from that... What is the dress code?

Thanks

Whatever you like.
Unless you're in a lab, then you'll want closed toe shoes. And jumpers, it's cold here. This is for lectues though, balls and stuff you'll want to dress up a little more

I've seen people in t-shirts, shorts and flip flops at Oxford. You will need a dark suit (sub fusc). But generally, anything goes.

Absolutely hilarious as it would be for you to turn up in full academic dress, I think I should point out, Oxford has no dress-code outside formal occasions and ceremonies.

It would be a tourist-pleaser too

I quite often wear T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops - at least for the two weeks a year when the weather is warm enough.

But that makes me look quite smart compared to some of my students. They turn up to tutorials in all sorts. Pyjamas aren't uncommon.

Actually, pyjamas are very much at the more appropriate end of the tutorial-wear spectrum...
