It's my boyfriend's 18th in a month and I'm stuck for presents. He has no hobbies or many interests but loves F1. So, I'm thinking of getting him something F1 related. Nothing tacky or cheap like a tee-shirt, but something more along the lines of a hardback book or (reasonably priced!) memorabilia. He also wants to go to Spa but I don't think I can afford that . I've been with him for 3 years, so really I can spend anything up to £50-60. His favourite team is McLaren, if that helps at all. Has anyone got any ideas? I can't get into the head of an F1 fan . I'm looking around the internet but all I can seem to find is £5 mugs or £300 signed pictures...

You know there's like them special experience things you can buy. Like when you can drive an F1 car or similar. Maybe you should look more into that

How about a 1:2 (Half size) Lewis Hamilton helmet model £60
https://www.mclarenshop.com/webapp/w...39661_VMM179-9
To be fair theres not much with F1 that isnt overpriced rubbish (Like a mug or hat, glasses etc) and £1000s+ collectibles.

How about some XBox or PS3 games?

Okay so there's the Official McLaren shop

Also the official F1 shop

Grand prix legends is pretty good too.

The scale models are pretty good and you can get different things in different price ranges. Also day experience are an idea. Stuff like this, but have a look around.

A book might be an idea maybe as a little aside present and stuff, Top 100 drivers of all time is an okay book but pretty cheap.

I didnt think of that- you wont be able to drive an F1 car but you can drive ferraris etc

Hamilton Canvas

Hamiltons Book

Diecast Model
(very good quality - are in presentation box)

Hope they are of some help

Personally. I would want a scalextric. You won't get a cheap tackey tee shirt. You might get an expensive tacky teeshirt but not cheap.

But if he's a mclaren fan get him a shotgun

Thanks guys, you've been loads of help! I'll have a good look round those websites tomorrow. If your partner was going to get you something F1-related for your birthday, what would you really want? Untitled258, scalextric is an awesome idea

This is cool;

The only problem with ebay is obviously whether it's actually real. If not it doesn't matter, your boyfriend will believe you and love it.

Edit: Although that will probably jump past your budget. Worth a look mind.

Cool but you'd have to move quickly.

This is good as well;
