A family friend is planning to come over here to study soon and has applied to the school of technology and management which claims to be affiliated with the University of east london. However, when I go to the UEL website, there seems to be no mention of this affiliated school.

With the recent stories of international students being fooled, I am a it worried and it would really help me out if someone could tell me if this is legit or not.

UEL is an real university. Your family friend is better off going to City University or anywhere else than there

STM is listed in alternative locations for studying information technology (MSc), so I would imagine it is legit just very specialised perhaps?

It is advertising everywhere it is affiliated with the UKBA. It may or may not be legit, it is likely to be awful if it is and is there simply for immigration purposes. Tell him/her to go to a proper university. Even if its legit, the underlying qualification will be worthless.

I know that It's not going to be great, but I don't really know this person, It is really a friend of a friend of a cousin of a friend so I don't really think it's my place to tell them that their degree is going to be worthless, but I'll do what can to warn them of this. :o: Again thank you for the help.
