2. The graph of y = x / 2x+1 is reflected in line y = x. Find the equation of the image.

5. the function f is defined for the domain -1 <x < 1 by f(x) = ln_4-2x)
a) state the range of f

6. Explain why no inverse exists for function f where f is defined by f(x) = x^2, x => -4

These three questions i dont quite get.

2. The reflection of a graph y = f(x) in the line y = x is the graph y = f^{-1}(x). So, this question is basically asking you to find the inverse.

5a) \ln x has the range x \in \mathbb{R},\ x &gt; 0. In this case, it's not \ln x, it's \ln (4-2x); can you see what to do?

6. For a function to be invertible it must be one-one. Draw the graph and you'll see that this isn't the case (e.g. f(-2) = f(2)).
