If a woman chooses not to be sexualy active would she still be required to have a smear test ?

I think so yeah. You can get cervical cancer without having sex, it just makes it more likely if you are sexually active. Are you planning to stay a virgin till you're 26? (I think that's the age they send you an appt in the post)

You're not actually ever required to have one, can go your whole life without one if you want. But you can still have problems that are detected by a smear if you're a virgin so it's best to go whether you're sexually active or not
