After being for too lazy and cocky last year; (and receiving BDD (In IT; Maths; Physics) as a result) I have decided to really get working hard and get the ABB that I need.

I will be retaking 4 exams in order to get the ABB @ AS in January and doing 3 A2 exams as well.

My question(s) to you are these:

If you are currently studying Computer Science:

1. What Grades did they ask?
2. What Grades did you get?
3. Did you get invited to an interview?
4. Do you enjoy the course?
5. Is the Maths "easy"?
6. How long did it take them to offer the place from when you applied?
7. Do you know of anyone else who can answer the above questions and what are there responses?
8. What was your year of entry?

Fingers crossed i'll see you there in September

5. Is the Maths "easy"? Yes, gets tougher in second year.
6. How long did it take them to offer the place from when you applied? Few weeks I think.
7. Do you know of anyone else who can answer the above questions and what are there responses? Yes, but they enjoyed the course.

Fingers crossed i'll see you there in September

I'm not starting until a few weeks but I can answer the first few:

1. What Grades did they ask? ABB - had a friend who got offered BBB because his AS results were better or because he had maths (my AS results were ABDD)
2. What Grades did you get? ABB
3. Did you get invited to an interview? Yeah, I think everyone did this year

Getting BBB from BDD is hard, likewise for me, i got BCC, but i only JUST got a C in maths B = BUSINESS, C = COMPUTING.
but im resiting. im just going to BEG my teachers for BBB, but my sister did pyschology in surrey and she needed ABB, she got BBC and she still got in and she was predicted BBB! but my question is, how competitive is computer science at surrey? are you going to the open days? im going to the one in october.

I know but i''m gonna try....

Psychology is the least popular course I think; and Computer Science is far more competitive

Try not to worry about your grades too much. But DO attend the interview if you have any concern about not meeting them.
