i personally recommend lsbf , if you are studying in london they have the best and most knowledgable tutors by far !

BPP experience has been mixed and for the amount of money you have to pay i would expect a consistent application.

I had really good tutor for F6, F4 and F9(was ok), F8 was poor, F5 i only had a few lessons and dropped out but she wasn't inspiring,

and haven't been back since, can't afford it to be honest plus you dont really get much class room time.

kaplan never studied with them

thanks! i actually just phoned up LSBF before I came on here! They are a lot cheaper and they provide more classes as well so might go with them!
I'm just wondering if you know whether I can still sit the December exams cos I know most courses have just started but they won't let you register! Am I allowed to just study myself and sit the exams? I've just registered with ACCA! Will they process my application in time?

They tend to have, say, a 3-5 day taught course in September for each module (for December exams) and then they have a 3-5 day revision course in November.
Like many have said on here already, LSBF is probably the best place :yep:

No reason why you can't as far as ACCA are concerned. You have to register for exams by 15th October (registering after will incur late fees).

Just depends what dates the courses are at your chosen college.

Edit: Actually, have you registered as an ACCA student yet? If you do ACCA from AAT then you need to register before 15th August to sit the December exams in the same year. I'm not sure if it's different for other entry routes.

Im teaching myself at the moment, i am retaking f7 and doing p1 i just get the text books and work through them. its a real crap way of learning and my marks are low but its too expnsive to go to classes etc :frown:

so yes you can still register to sit the December exams, and with lsbf you get access to really good online lectures so you can watch them whe is most convenient

you need to register with ACCA as my good buddy cortez has pointed out and claim exemptions otherwise you may be able to sit only 1 F paper exam as you can sit 4 exams in one sitting, so you would need to claim exemptions frmo F1+2+3 and then start the knowledge modules

Do your employers not contribute?

Are you doing international or UK F7? This book is supposed to be really good if you're doing international. I've ordered a copy but it's not arrived yet.

they used to here and there before, but with cut backs and all that i now only get a little time off and exams paid for. anything else is a bonus....

im doing UK F7, to be honest the differences are minimal, i know the treatment of goodwill is different, to be honest i think even if you did treat the goodwill to the UK std and it was the INT exam i doubt they would makr you down.

I have the F7 UK text and revision book for BPP i failed it just gone with about 40% so i know most of it already, just need to tighten it all up

the tutor i did a revision course at LSBF is a marker for F5 (rob sowerby) and he basically explained that the examiers as long as there is a solid argument and a consluion they take it all into consideration

you will need to start from F1 then, you can teach yourself. i cant believe they wouldnt let you on the courses as they have only juhst started unless there full
I suggest LSBF or Kaplan, either one of them is a good option for ACCA.
I am a very experienced ACCA teacher and I teach extremely well. I can tutor you from the beginning of ACCA over skype and you will pay me after each class.

Students find it very difficult to understand because the concepts are very complex and I am experienced to give adequate emphasis on the hard topics and not move on until the student fully grasps the solution.
