    Don't listen to him, it's 10MOhms.
    2 resistors of 10M ohms in series are not supposed to have unequal voltages across them. Dont u know ur physics?

    it was 5M ohms using:

    (R/(R+10,000,000))*9=3

    This is a formula for potetial dividers.

    Vr=(r/(R+r))*V

    Yeah Thats resistance of 2 parallel resistors(Resistor AND voltmeter).

    They wanted resistance of resistor ONLY. Which is 10Mohms. NOT 5Mohms.

    Don't YOU know your physics? You forgot to take into account the resistance of both of the voltmeters.
    If R (resistance of resistor only) was equal to 5Mohms then the resistance of the resistor and voltmeter connected in parallel with it would be:

    5 x 10 / 5 + 10 = 3.333333333 Mohms

    Equate that into the potential divider question, with the voltage across the other voltmeter (in series with the combo):

    6 / V2 = 10 / 3.333333333

    V2 = 2V ... which is not correct.

    yeah... i also got 5 MegaOhms !!! and that's the correct answer !

    No it isn't!!!!!!
