Check it for what?
You can go to smail.warwick.ac.uk and login using the username they would have given you, mine was a 6 letter random word, and your password that you made up.

If you have your login, go to smail.warwick.ac.uk and log in. There's nothing that says you has to, because you probably won't have any emails yet. The login will be six letters long, and is made up of a number of letters that relate to your course, whether you are undergrad or postgrad and then a couple of random ones.

If you are not sure if you have set it up properly, email someone in IT services and they can usually help.

The fourth letter of your login corresponds to your year of entry

Ahh, that makes sense. I always wondered what that stood for!

So the last two are just unique to a particular student?

I would guess that it will work like:
XXujaa
XXujab
XXujac

And so on. I assume that you have j as the 4th letter and u because you are undergrad.

it's telling me i have 2 email addresses: onein the format [email protected] (for central emails?) and a student email (which i presume is the one u use on the smail website)
Which one is my 'warwick email' and where do i check the X.surname one?

They're exactly the same account: one just redirects to the other.

Emails sent to [email protected] will still arrive in your smail account.

I got the same problem. Does it take a few days for your mail account to activate or was I dumb and forgot my password? :O

Did it not tell you to wait 24 hrs before you log in?
