Every single definition I'm writing out feels the same as all those that have gone before :sigh:

Any particular definition that seems the same?

Yeah, Oxford top, what a joke :yep:

Everything starts 'let U ( R^n be open and f: U -> R^k a C^l function' or similar, and then goes on to mention that manifold M is compact/closed/complete/whatever and that w is a (k-1) form or an (l-1) form. It's deadening writing this stuff over and over again.

I have thousands of pounds I need to spend.

Invest it?

I tend to put all my spare money into stamps and coin as that's the markets I have specialist knowledge in, but I suspect most people would rather do forex or be trading shares...

Regarding the sunglasses I prefer black ones with some cool colour like the yellow (1001/3F IIRC) or lime green. Not a fan of the map personally, but the design of the glasses is quite nice!

Ahem, Durham sixth. I think these tables are perfectly valid... :h:
I hate it when you're trying to revise and the library smells of spit. :emo:
I decided to have a lie in after setting my alarm on my phone at 8.am.

I woke up some time later and then thought it was 10 pm!! My watch is taking 10 second steps for the second hand (that ithe hand is small so you can hardly see it).

Bizzarre.

Odd... don't think I've ever noticed that. Not at George Green , though looking at the pictures they've got in Portland of Hallward ("Supposedly the finest library building in the UK (or the like)" don't look very flattering..,.

Getting rather hot under the collar with IMP now to say the least as well as the schedulers who've set us three exams in four days (IMP tomorrow , Thermal Physics on Monday as well as COF)... :s-smilie:

IMP :nn:. It has taken up SO MUCH of my revision time. I should start on some of the other modules, tbf. :indiff: Ha, COF can suck my dick. Will revise/learn it tomorrow. Neeeeed to do well in MathPhys and Probability to be able to do the options I wanna do next year. :emo:

Speaking of options, what are you choosing? :colone:

I have to do the easiest exam known to man tomorrow. It so easy, its not even funny. But, yeah they should really do proper analysis in first year and not just like do the ratio test or say prove something really easy is null.

Prove that (23+1n)n(\frac{2}{3} + \frac{1}{n})^n is null, thats like 5 marks, however its pretty easy.
What does null mean in that context? I'm confused.
edit: oh.

I was about to ask that same question. I can guess.

You would be surprised how many people don't know how to do that question!
I'm expecting 100% from you simps, a first will do me. You are right though, a lot of the stuff is very basic and algorithmic

Goodness, I can't even remember what I did last year :s-smilie: Algebra & Number Theory was fun, but the lecturers were both very high intensity... Codes & Geometric Topology were ok... Numerical Analysis sucked. Did not like it. They were the three options I chose, can't really comment on the others :moon:

I want to do Number Theory and Codes :h:
But aside from that I am lost. First need to pass the year ofc. Had Discrete Maths exam today, and Shazza came in at the start to wish us all luck, and then said "it's really easy" as he walked out. Bastard, it was not easy at all. But Durham's Domino's gave me free ice-cream tonight, so it all balances out :moon:

Edit: I don't know what null is and I suck too much to guess. Someone tell me?

the limit is zero
DeanK22
the limit is zero

Ohhhh. I feel stupid now :emo:
Normally I reserve use of "null" to things like null spaces, null-potent maps and null elements of various algebras/spaces that don't look anything like the reals- else, "zero" seems more appropriate (and of course there was possible ambiguity over whether it meant the limit, the series, or something else).

edit: gosh we're all such boring pedants (or at least me).

No such thing. Take that back. :hmmm:
