Changing courses at Uni Watch

I started uni (in scotland) yesterday and I am confident that I want to change course, but stay at the same uni. I hear its pretty straight forward, but I have quite a few worries. The course that I want to change to is not available in clearing (neither is any course but 2). Does this mean I can't get into the course I want? And what are the chances I'll get to move to the course I want? Is it likely I won't? Any advice or experience would be brilliant, thanks

your need to ask someone at the uni that want to move, just because the course wasn't in clearing dosn't mean you can't move over, someone may have dropped out, or changed course, as the uni as soon as you can really, they will know the answer better

From what I remember, at my uni (Greenwich), the deadline for moving courses was clearly advertised, and it was also easily done to - a couple of flatmines of mine did it.
