They're really trying to bump up their version numbers aren't they?

You can update it by going to About Google Chrome and clicking update. Apparently it has improved JavaScript performance, HTML5 features and also theme support.

http://chrome.blogspot.com/2009/09/s...e-release.html

I've just tried applying some of the themes and most of them look really nice on the themes page but every single one looks bloody appalling when applied. Thankfully they give you the chance to undo your installation of the theme as soon as it's been applied.

The default theme has also been updated slightly. Subtle changes, but I do think it looks better.

https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl...mes/index.html Google is your friend

They do look utterly disgusting....although on my computer they now don't appear to extend into the border, just the tabs...which looks a lot better

Lol, sorry :P

I just tried "Brushed" and "Zen Spring" which both look quite good - I'm gonna stick with the zen one for now I think

To be fair, have you seen some of the themes for Firefox? They are ghastly. :p:

I had Opera, Chrome and Firefox all installed at once a few weeks ago. Opera kept crashing on me all the time yet I still used it >.>

Anyone has any good website with comparison of browsers (I mostly care about the speed)?. Obviously the more recent comparison the better.

I like the updated home page thing, where you can now pin sites to it. It also looks... shinier :top:

Unfortunately its having compatability issues with some sites... :sigh:

There are the odd few incompatibilities, but they are being worked out as the version numbers work themselves up

For example, Facebook used to be teriffically dodgy on Chrome just a few months ago, but now appears to work just as well as in firefox

yeah, this is a new compatibility issue. Nothing major, I just can't login to my online banking from chrome now when I could before I upgraded...

Still, hopefully they'll sort it out soon, and I still want to marry chrome, so...
