Ooh...that's reassuring! But perhaps your Mum was just trying to make you feel better! Lets hope she's right. Good luck with yours anyway. I take it you did Edexcel sciences then, because I did AQA, and apparently only EdExcel are scanning papers, so if you didn't do Edexcel you'll be ok (I think).
Yeah, i did Edexcel, tho i really wish i hadn't cos my teacher said u need about 90% for an A*...help! This seems really high compared to other boards so i hope it's wrong...reckon i got about 85% overall so maybe i'll be ok... can't imagine Edexcel are scanning all papers tho cos i would have thought that the teachers might have bothered to tell us. Also, how can they tell whether the answers are right for science and other subjects where there's not just a numerical answer? and what about for the questions where u get assessed on the written quality of ur answer- how can a machine do that? maybe it's all just a horrible rumour designed to make us worry even more....

Oh no no no no...A* would be at highest 80%, wouldn't it? I mean, last year was around 60 - it wouldnt have risen by more than 25%...methinks im getting tres worried. Exam was ok but coursework was awful.

I don't know what it was last year, maybe my science teacher was just trying to give me an incentive to work harder, but he definitely said 90%....this is way higher than AQA and OCR tho, and also higher than other subjects.... was it really only 60% last year? i thought that would be a borderline A/B. opposite for me- coursework great but terrible biology exam

90% of 90 is 81... :O thats high!! I think for AQA its something like 76 marks or more gets you a big, fat, juicy A*.
