    just wondering, where is Lanzarote? i know its near spain but is it the same as the Canary Islands?

    The Canary Islands are just off the north-western coast of Africa, and the beaches in Lanzarote have their sand imported from the Sahara Desert.
    I found all this out when I went on holiday there a few years ago

    Why do people post these questions really? Is it just to get the postcount up? Im curious, or are they genuinely incabable of doing any kind of research on their own. Ie.
