st.chads, durham

Hello, like many i'm starting to get offers back for 2004 entry...today got one from st chads durham. I like the place, but most first years share a room which could be a problem.

Does anyone know what the rooms are like? are they big? do people have room for their own desk/workspace? etc etc...I'd be grateful to anyone who can help.

Hi, I've applied for Anthropology at St Chads - just got the acknowledgement from Durham today. Most of what I've heard about the college seems really nice, but it might be a bit cramped if you don't like small colleges. There's also conflicting information depending which site you go on, some say that about 1/3 of the rooms are shared, or that most of them are. I think 1st years are more likely to be in double rooms, but the 3rd years nearly all have single rooms. All of the rooms are supposed to be reasonably sized, and should have room for your own desk - kind of defeats the point of having a room if there isn't!

Unoffical-guides.com is great apart from the forum, where they seem to be arguing all the time about oxbridge vs durham or university rankings :rolleyes:
