Hi

I am looking for a 6th form college because during my GAP year I would quite like to do an extra couple of A-Levals as I only have 3 but I need to do them in one year. The only place I have found is MPW but it is exorbitant. Does anyone know of any state colleges or cheaper tutorial colleges. By the way one of the subjects has to be Latin, which makes finding a college harder.

Thanks
Lola

I go to SFX, but it doesn't do Latin (it's an inner city college!)

hope that helps

I would prefer something in central London as it would take ages to get to South London every day. I don't even mind paying but just not MPW prices

Thanks

Does it matter which college you go too? You will find that most Sixth Forms are adaptable to your needs.

Well it doesn't work that way because i want to do an A-Level in one year instead of two. I need a course that does the AS level in the first half followed by the A-Level in the second half. If I was doing something like chemistry and I was attending an AS Level class and an A2 class at the same time, I wouldn't understand A2. Most 6th form colleges aren't like tutorial colleges or 'crammers' which MPW is and have specific short courses. The problem with MPW is the fees which are like 3 times my existing school fees. My parents will not continue to pay £3000 a term in my GAP year. I think I might try distance learning

There's one here in Norfolk- but I doubt you want to commute that far! Surely there must be somewhere in London?!

Have you tried doing a search on LearnDirect? They might be able to point you in the direction of a local college?
