# Phy 4 - Waves and Our Universe watch

1. lol, sorry. I get it now. I was mixing up the first & second questions. U surely are good in Physics. Cool!
2. damn quite a hard exam espeiclally the question about the hubble stuff and the standing waves

for taht hubble one did you guys use v/c = ∂λ/λ

i did, and then i did (660-390)/330 x3x10^8 =v

anyone else did that? (units cancel on that)

got 2.1x10^8 ms^-1

is that right - was a trick qeutsion i think
4. i got the same phil

For doppler effect, explain it in terms of light.. light source is getting further away, evidence of big bang.

wat r the earlier parts of the Q??

Is it got 2 do with standing waves. The diameter of a nucleus is 1*10^-15

Using de broglie's equation Lambda = h/p
....
v = = 0.000000000000000000663/9.11*10^-31 = 727771679473.11 m/s
THats HUUGE...
is this edexcel B - i didn't use de broglies anywhere

tell me its not

I did it that way...

we aer the cool dudes

anyway, what explanation did you give for hubbles obervations - could only think of one

I said 1) evidence universe is expanding
.......2) evidence that teh furtehr galaxies are moving away from the centre of teh universe faster than the close ones - couldn't think of anythign else
