What Should You Take To Uni? watch

    (Original post by Jess8686)
are u allowed to hang pictures up? do people just have photos and posters? i reckon guys would have posters and girls generally wouldnt? Do lots of people bring lamps and stuff and extra seating to make it feel more homely? bit of a shame u cant see ur room couple of weeks b4!!!
You can hang pictures up as long as you don't make holes in the walls! Most people have posters...and not just guys...girls too! Most halls don't allow extra furniture and some electrical equipment but lamps should be fine.

I'm bringing a bean bag. I want to put pics up on my walls, but only prints and photos so blu tac should hopefully keep them up. Maybe some posters, but i don't have any at the moment, there's usually sales when you get to uni though. You've got pin boards in most rooms too. You can bring a tiny bit of extra storage apparently, just not major furniture. I'm bringing a desk lamp for when i'm working.

the studential list is excellent. All the little things you would probably forget are on there which is great. I know i will bring too much though. At least i'm catered for in the first year so i don't need to bother with most of the cooking stuff. xx

white tac may be better in a white painted room - or just buy a tester pot for the wall colour - though i head toothpaste is just as good!
