There are exams? I'll be going college soon and they force you to do Key Skills...isnt it a waste of time? Honestly, do universities even look at them?

Key skills are important to a certain extent I think they give you about 10 or so UCAS points if that what you are after. I had to take a test for Communication, it was like an English paper really and the rest of the skills you do or use within subjects - through debating, presentations, research, specches and so on and so forth.

10 Ucas points? Are you sure? I have barely seen it on any entry of the entry requirements, why create extra work?

What exam board are you following for key skills? Go to the exam board websites, and they will have timetables for you to look at. Level 3 key skills is actually worth 20 points.

Sorry that is correct, I knew it was 10 if not more. Why create the extra work, it is not extra really, the skills are used in your day to day classes and you have an exam and that is all, you do not really have to go out of your way particularly. You may find that you need those extra 20 points to make up for where you may have done badly in an actual subject.

u can get 20 Ucas points from doing Free Standing Maths Qualification - which is a lot more fun than u can ever imagine - its like half of C1 - i would so rather do that (one minute i did)
