Goodness knows. Well the note centre is basically the key of scales. E.g F, G etc.

Aww Nat, thanks I didn't see your post about me being fab until today!
No, i don't think i was ever told about that. Maybe thats just associated board exams

No, i was like that...i was fine leading up to it then the week before i was just like 'i can't do it' (which is a bit of a favourite quote from me with regard to clarinet playing!) but obviously i had to do it.

You'll be fine! Just take lots of rescue remedy! It helped me, well i think it did, it might have all been psychological! My teacher took loads as well because he was nervous about playing the piano parts for my pieces, because they are really hard and hes not a great pianist.

She's done it now, and in her positive style "It was ok" (which probably means shes passed with merit or something).

I did my grade 6 violin yesterday. Think I played my pieces pretty decent, and sight reading was pretty easy. Then the idiot decides its time for scales, but doesn't tell me specifically which ones ie. melodic/minor, slurred/seperate, and after I ask him, he decides to give me the hardest ones. So lucky me gets to attempt Bb melodic minor 3 octaves slurred, F harmonic minor and all the other difficult ones. As for A diminished 7th, yummy sounded like a load of random notes. I got my revenge in the aural tests though. Am I the saddest person ever who finds them fun? Still got to wait for results, but I've got grade 7 piano in a couple of weeks to look forward to.
