They can't give A*'s until your mark has been compared to the rest of the population. So they can't predict them either.

Why do you doubt it in relation to other peoples work? How good or bad theirs are won't effect your grade.

mine was ages ago. i didnt go because it takes like 5 minutes to walk around the exhibition, so what's the point. most of the people there would be the other art students, and they've seen everything already...

I think it will assuming that the assessing of grades for art is the same as it is for other subjects....for other subjects the results are ranked and then the percentiles are decided on for how well you have to achieve to get a certain grade so it is dependent on other people's performance too....hope you're right tho!
It should be the same for an A grade unless I'm wrong. It's the A* that fluxates and you won't know from your classes work because thats sone with the whole population. A grade doen't fluxate does it?

Yeah, it is with whole population but I think the A grade does fluctuate if it's the same as for other subjects...nevermind, if it doesn't then my coursework's an A anyway so should be ok

Hello fellow GSCE art students! whos got their art exhibition soon? argh ive got mine next monday.....dont want it.....dont want all my rubbish art work on display to students, parents and examiners!

Heh, they don't do ours until September so I've a good long wait before everyone sees this year's artwork.
I'm not really looking forward to it, as, though marks-wise I've done quite well, I really don't like a lot of the final pieces! The thought of them being on the wall for a year (we don't get them back for a least a year at my school) makes me cringe!

we have our viewing on thursday and the external moderators are in on friday my friends work has only just been fired so shes panicking
As i said, mine is on monday...i went in to school today to finish off some coursework, and guess what??......my art teacher has only gone and 'misplaced' half of my art work which has to be displayed!! And to make it worse, i have to come in over the next few days and do each peice all over again!!argh! :frown:
Anyways...good luck to all of you who have yet to have your exhibition. I hope you get the grades you want!
