Does any one have an idea what 56/60 would convert to as a UMS score for History coursework?

No idea since it changes every year. But I'd assume it'd be rounded up to full UMS, or roughly that?

if that unit is out of 90UMS, then 90/60= 1.5

    56* 1.5 = 84/90. i think

I think these are sometimes then "scaled" though.

Scaled upwards or downwards? Would that mark most likely be higher or lower than Smokeyjoe suggested?

Not sure I'd like to know too though. My teacher's given me 54/60, and though normally I feel like my work has been given more than it deserves, in this case I honestly think I was undermarked I loved writing that essay and put so much into it - I ended up feeling it was one of the best I've written, whereas my English coursework got full marks and was hailed by the moderators and I thought it was total trash  Must be the weird emphasis in the mark schemes I suppose.

I'm hoping that the moderator will give me higher marks - overall 2 of us got As, one got a B and everyone else got Cs and Ds, so it wasn't exactly a great year... or that the UMS will boost it up

Does UMS ever boost your marks that significantly? Still confused as to how *exactly* it works, I've heard many not so detailed accounts that all seem to contradict each other
