Birth Marks

I guess this thread has already been made, so sorry, but I couldn't be arsed to go hunting.

Anyway, I was wondering who had large/dark/etc birthmarks and whether it effected/effects their confidence. I have an enormous one on my left leg, which to be honest I'm extremely self-consious of, whilst at the same time I don't care (if that makes any sense). I just tend to always wear long trousers etc. because it's easier as people, including friends stare, even if it's accidental. I thought about removal but because it's so big and dark, it would take about 4 years in 4 painful annual operations. Also, I don't think I could forgive myself if I had it removed as, it's kind of like, an identification thing.

Just wondering if anyone else had any bitches of birthmarks and how they viewed them.

Beauty marks or beauty spots are often knows as moles. You can have them anywhere really, face (particularly on the cheek or mouth area), arms, stomach, back and are black or brown (due to a concentration of pigment)...Birthmarks tend to be larger and cause more of a blemish and cover a larger area than a beautymark. They are generally the same thing.

I have on the back of my neck, and it's quite emmbarassing when people notice it cos they all think its a love bite.

I've got one on my face it use to be really red and huge when i was younger but now its small and people think its a scar. I used to really hate is especially as its on my face and you cant really cover it up unless you put tons of make up over it but when people mention it i think about it. I wanted to get it removed but if it looked worst then i would feel worst? Anyone else got one on their face?
