    Wow, it was so much easier than the first paper. I think that should make up for my poor attempt at the ludicrously difficult non-calculator test.

    Oh, and the Histogram thing was spoken about here last night! Thank you TSR!

    I thought it was harder :eek:

    This always happens to me :rolleyes: - I find the first easy and the second harder, but everyone else thinks different :mad:

    As I worked my way through the paper, I was expecting the questions to suddenly get really hard, and come upon some awesomely complicated multi-stage question. It never happened, I thought it was very easy at the start, medium/hard in the middle, and easier again at the end.

    Yeah - there was no sine/cosine rule or anything.

    I saw the Histogram thread last night, didn't pay much attention to it HOPEFULLY I got it right. I think my method was a bit "obscure" though.

    WJEC Calc paper was far more easier than the non-calc paper. I am sure I got everything I answered correct - apart from similar pyramid shaped question I worked out answer using 1/3(bxh) but was unsure if the similarity was correct. A question involving the cosine rule I did not correctly answer neither, as I wrote the formula wrong, should have been 2ba on bottem but I wrote b^2 x a^2. Nevertheless only a few marks off.

    Also I left out the trapezium rule quesiton (3 marks that was) as I didn't bother to revise that as I didnt understand it as we never did that topic in class, and there was one over 2 mark question asking about a rogicultra or something of 2x^2 which I had no idea so left that.

    Overall I think I atleast got an A on calc but on non-cal I think I either failed it or got a C :P

    Yeah. I thought it was ok.

    What did we all get for the simplify question with xs and as and bs?

    If anyone's interested, these are the grade boundaries for last year

    A* = Paper 1 71/100
    Paper 2 78/100
    Cwk = 43/48

    A = Paper 1 56/100
    Paper 2 57/100
    Cwk = 37/48

    B = Paper 1 39/100
    Paper 2 39/100
    Cwk 31/48

    Yes there was. You could use Pythagoras too but I used cosine rule.

    It was the question about the triangle with sides 38.8 and 32.1 or something.

    Thankyou! Those are reassuring. Hoping for an A! Forget the A* after Paper 1! :mad:

    I thought it was one of the easiest maths tests ever!!! However im diasapointed as i really wanted to use cosine and sine rules because im best at them. The last question was one of the easiest on the paper and I agree that histogram did throw me for a second but i think i did fine apart from that four point moving average - never done that before!

    I mean there was no big triangle question where you absolutely had to use them - pythagoras is easier (in my mind anyway) so that doesnt count.
