Decision Maths 1 (thursday) watch

1. ive well and truely messed that exam up lol, it was a resit anyway, so I will just use last years mark! that damn simplex method came up aswell, dammit!!
2. I thought on the whole it was ok (that is in comparison to January's disaster of a paper I hasten to add.) The critical activity network only came up with one dummy though. Anyone manage to get two?
3. I thought it was quite a hard paper.

Only found one dummy instead of the two.

In the flows network, could not find a good cut set.

Waffle questions also not fun.

Possibly retake

I found two. The second was either M or N to the end node.
5. Critical activity question.
Yep, the second one was N, and the first one was near L, I think.

The first question - remember descending. (Have you noticed the cultural diversity that is starting to creep in? there was a student with an Asian name!)

Planarity - Hamiltonian - rearrange into hexagon, then it should be fine.

Matchings - the two paths worked ok, and she can't go with her son (D-2), cos that will force B to match with 4, which is the only time E can be viewed... Impossible.

Flows - big discrepancy in answer among my class, I got 109, and the minimum cut was found at the extreme right just before the two sinks.

Simplex - 14Z=9100

I'll edit this if I am reminded of the other questions
6. i got 113 for the last question
i found a cut for it as well...
cant remember exactly but there were 4 flows: 10, 2, 1, 4...
nyone have any idea about how many mark would be taken if only 1 dummy was found?
i couldn't retake it.. hix hix hope that raw mark is low...
7. I got 117, but found a cut for it. think its wrong tho!
8. That D1 paper was not half bad, but it would have been better if I had actually learned some of the stuff to apply to it. Does anybody know if people can retake in January?

Draft exam timetables for January should be on your board's website now.
