    Right , I ordered a book off amazon .
Heinemann Statistics 1 (Edexcel AS and A-Level)

The stats 1 book for next year. Got it and it didnt quite look right. It turns out its ideal for the 2000 specification! I thought i was getting the latest one for the 2004 edition (normally on bottom left).

I need a huge FAVOUR froms someone with a S1 book.

I will write my contents table here , can you get your book and check if there is any major differences. Even beter would be to scan your contents page(s) in so i could compare. But i doubt anyone would do that for lil old me so heres the contents page:

-1 . Mathematical modelling in probability and statistics 1
-2. Representation of sample data 5
-3. Methods for sumarising sample data location 29
    -4.Methods for summarising data 53

    Review Exercise 97

    6.Correlation 113
    7.Regression 131
    8.Discrete random variables. 147
    9.The normal distribution 167

    Review Exercise 2 181

    Examination style paper 193

    Thanks

Yeah the papers are exactly the same, they only changed the applied books with the pure books as an overall update... I dont think there is likely to be any difference

OK Thats good news so far. I would like to know though if its exactly the same. This is as the teacher may set us work from the book. If i have different questions then..... it may be on different pages etc.

If you have the S1 book please check the contents !!! Thanks for all your help already!

In our class half the people use the old book and half use the new one.

They are identical (as far as I am aware).

There don't even seem to be page number issues.
