Hello i recently left university after a week and a half in order to have a gap year build up some funds etc then return to another one next year, i was just enquiring as to how i will tackle the application process again this year, will ucas still have my details on record e.g personal statement, references etc, or is it a case of completly doing everything again, anyone with any previous experience of doing this please post as well, thanks.

I am actually in the same situation as you. Just left university after starting a week ago, realising the course wasn't for me as I went through clearing and I am now embarking on the application process once again.
I would really appreciate any advice from someone who has been through the same/similar situation.
Also, i've decided to completely change my course choice and was wondering if I could apply to the same universities as last year but for a different course? Will they recognise me from applying last year and will this affect my chances of being accepted?

im reapplying for UCAS this year. Youll have to start the whole application process again with a new personal statement, references etc, when u first sign up you have to enter your old UCAS ID which then generates a new number this year so youll have a new ID. Universities wnt b able to recognise you frm last year if its for a different course however when i rang UCAS they did say if u were to apply for different unis they wnt knw what course or wat uni u applied to last year just that ur reapplying

Oh okay thank you so much, that's really helpful. Arghhh can't believe i'm going through the whole personal statement/ucas stuff all over again, so stressful.

I'm in the same situation. Just contacted my college to see if they could still email me the references then once thats done I should be able to send mine off
