    well since the other thread is non modular, mite as well start my own thread!
    That was an ace exam, think i did rli well. For the last rli big algebraic equation to solve, i got y=0 or y=.25 However, wen u entered it into the formula, all the **** had to equal 1, and .25 didnt work

    but 0 did so y=0

    yay

    i got some weired anwer y=-0.04, can't remember the other..i used quadratic formula to find the solution, and you? Do you remember the question?

    i think the denominator were

    y+1 and 2y-3

    x was above y+1 i can't rem what was above 2y-3 and there was 1 on the right handside of teh equation.

    The correct answers to that question i think were y = 0 and y = 4

    I checked these through the formula and they worked, so i presume they're correct. You'll receive method marks and also you'll receive marks for one of the answers. It was a quadratic however you did NOT need to use the formula, this was because you divided by 2 to get the coefficient of a = to 1. Then you simply factrorised to leave

    y(y - 4) = 0

    This gave you the answers y = 0 & y = 4

    I think anyways, anyone else do modular?

    what was the answer to question 12 with the rectangle?

    perimeter = 13
    area = 23

    i think

    and the dodgy formula prove the quadratic

    Does anyone feel that this exam was actually slightly harder than last years? I think people are just looking at it from the perspective of paper 1 which was utterly impossible.
