I just did the UKCAT today and got a terrible score of 590

i'm hoping my 9 A* and 3 A at gcse will off set the bad score to some extent but i want to go to uni this year and am basically prepared to apply to anywhere that will take me, no real preference

I know none will be easy, but which will be easier) to get into out of:

Bristol
Liverpool
Leeds
Birmingham

Cardiff
Dundee
Glasgow
Kings
Newcastle

is it easier to get into scottish uni's because they have fewer applicants? do they pick few numbers of english people?

The first four, cardiff and glasgow, stay away from the others (not sure about Dundee though so research that)

no they don't need the ukcat at all, however they are very competitive so i'm not sure if i would have more chance with a university that does take the ukcat into account but is less competitive

I've learned that bristol need 4 weeks work experience while i only have 2

Hmmm would it be harder to get into Leeds or Newcastle? Is one much more competitive than the other or are they mostly the same?

I swear manchester is one of the most competitive.....
and reading last years offers thread you need to make sure your application is perfect otherwise they reject (like they rejected people for not putting the phrase manual dexterity in:confused: )

i have to agree with ibadan, you must be mixed up with your uni's becuase manchester is actually very competitive and quite hard to get into. they also value the ukcat highly
