Give them each a £10 note.

Just buy them a gift voucher.

Effective, but a bit tacky for Christmas isn't it? Kinda like something you'd see in a raffle prize pool. Hows about something with an engraving, or just a simple written message. Eg: Merry Xmas Mother, love son/daughter.

Christmas is the epitome of tackiness anyway.

Get tradtional and give them gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Arg! If you're going to give money -then just give them real cash! It saves them the annoying situation of being restricted to one place- much better to let them buy whatever from whever the want.
