It's the misuse of 'sat' in English to which I really object...
    ...especially in sentences such as

You couldn't see the stage from the row what we was sat in.

I'm getting on my hobby-horse. Time to dismount and get some lunch.

Il faut que je m'en aille...

Ahh, prescriptivism. I used to be a bit of a pedant, but now I think, as long as it gets the point across, we should just enjoy our language and its flexibility. Of course, we need general 'rules' so that we can understand each other, but just because 'we was' isn't part of the dialect Standard English came from, there's no reason to say it's stupid, less sophisticated, or really even 'wrong'. Let's just enjoy diversity, man This is what studying English Language does to you, lol.

But still, don't say 'Il faut que j'y vais'. The Académie would be likely to behead you.

The fact that it isn't Standard English doesn't particularly bother me, it's just that I think it sounds ugly. I'm an aesthete before a pedant.

Aitch your french is really great !
And you're right about what you said, misuse of subjunctive really breaks the harmony of this language. French people who misuse the subjuntive are often suspected of being illiterate.
