easier than the AS practical for sure! i messed up my actual AS practical, and my resit this year - aghhh - AS practicals are so dodgy!
U r so rite!! AS practicals were SOO much more harder!! Timing is a real problem there but in the A2 I had plenty of time to triple check my work. The experiments were in no way demanding!!

Hey, can any of you remember the question in which we had to sketch a diagram for a ray of elecrons/particles going through a magnetic field. We also had to label the ray with the heaviest kind of particles. Can any of you remember the proper question and its answer? I drew something similar to the mass spectroscope in Chemistry

it was a diagram of a beam of electrons of varying energies moving through an electric field...we had to label the electron moving the fastest

Thanks. My sketch is similar to yours, but I labelled it wrong.

For the flag, go to User CP's options and say yes to show country.

i put that the electron is at its highest velocity when it just leaves the field

    I dont think thats right.

    In A2,
    30% PHY4
    10% PHY5 practical
    20% PHY5 exam
    40% PHY6

    So Alevel
    PHY4 15%
    PHY5 prac 5%
    PHY5 Exam 10%
    PHY6 20%

    and even after that!

if you don't believe me then
    use arithmetic
    phy1 - 90
    phy2 - 90
    phy3 - 120
    AS = 300
    phy4 - 90
    phy5 - 90
    phy6 - 120
    A2= 300

    A LEVEL = 600
    UMS MARKS.

p.s i did it last year, and these are the ums.

thats right...what have u got for all ur units?
so far i think i've done quite well:
    phy1 - 74/90
    phy2 - 85/90 (expecting after retake)
    phy3 - 89/120
    phy4 - 80/90 (expecting at least)
    phy5 - 80/90 (hopefully)

im doing it all in 1 year because last year i had personal problems so i didnt go to any lessons except the exam and got like 20 ums for each.

    I'm predicting i'll get
    phy1 - 79/90
    phy2 - 88/90
    phy3 - 110/120
    phy4 - 82/90
    phy5 - 86/90
    phy6 - 100/120

btw you need 96 in phy6 for an A
