What sort of a career would this give me if I study Wine Studies at uni? Are the career prospects good?

    Hi there.

Erm...from doing wine studies at uni, I would probably have thought you could get some sort of job studying wine. *Look of deep thought on face*

Maybe worth while popping down to you local connections office :p:

I know I would probably end up studying wine if I went for Wine Studies :p:

but I'm curious to know what sort of job I could get, is it a competitive field?

those kind of things seem to be like "why uni?"

the best people to teach about wine wouldn't be sitting around in uni staff rooms and the odd seminar, but either working in 1st class restaurants or sitting at home in an arm chair with a cigar.

there could be more prestigious qualifications than a wine studies degree from a top uni. may you can study "taste" (don't know the exact name of the course or subject)
