I'm sure there's a thread out there somewhere so I apologise beforehand if anyone else has already asked this question. Sorry.

I understand that we can retake AS levels, but are we allowed just to NOT mention exams we have taken (i.e. pretend we didn't take them at all)?

If you want to resit in order to improve your AS grades, you have to decline them and they won't go on your UCAS form. If you accept the grades, you will have to put them on your UCAS form and any resits you do can only be used to boost your UMS marks and thus your final A-level grades as opposed to your AS grades.

Sorry I don't think I've managed to articulate myself very clearly. I understand the whole concept of resitting (but thanks anyway ).

I was asking if I could take an AS level and then NOT put it on my UCAS form and NOT re-take it. My particular dilemma is that I've taken critical thinking as an extra AS this year and it's not a terribly important part of my application to university, so if I don't get an A in it would I be able to just NOT put it on my UCAS form (i.e. just pretend I never even sat the exam in the first place)?

    Is this possible?

No, any grade you get and don't reject will need to be seen by the uni. If it's something that isn't important for your course then they won't mind...as long as you get the required points! x x
