The C3 paper was mega today!!!

So simple! Definately the easiest exam I've had so far! In fact the only question I couldn't do was that last part of 9. Apparently you had to put f(x)=f-1(x) and then complete the square or something. But hey who cares really when the rest of the paper was SO good!

(now I've said that I probs wont even pass!!)

Did you do M1 aswell??? It was the hardest paper ever!!

Hi, I did c3 today as well, and thought it was an excellent paper, but I couldn't do the last part of 9 either.

I also did m1, which was dire. All of the numbers I ended up with were completely out of the ordinary for things like acceleration!

the c3 paper was good apart from the last part of q9. gave a random answer
m1 was easy, finished in 50 mins and sat there looking around.

How did you find m1 easy??? Are you some kind of child prodigy??? The questions were so odd, I'd never done a paper like it before.

    Good luck with the C4.

You want the range of values of m where f(x) does *not* cross y=x. So equate f(x) with x. Rearrange it a bit until you get a quadratic in x. Now, since you want the equation to not have any [real] roots, take "b^2 - 4ac < 0" of the quadratic. That gives you an inequality in 'm', that you solve to find the range of values.

Now just C4 and M2 to go, and I'm done. Until next year, at least.
