Well done to Venus. Bad luck to Davenport, I wanted her to win!! I hope the mens final is amazing but I really want Roddick to win! I'm getting quite bored with Federer, even though he is a class player!
ditto, I'm hoping Roddick wins, but dont think he can stop the Fed-Express

I never used to like Davenport until I realised what a nice person she was. I didn't mind who won, but I was siding more with Davenport as I thought it'd be nice for her with her injury and because she hadn't won in 6 years.
Well done to Venus though

There's no doubt about the result tomorrow.

Even if Federer sleep walks on to court he'll still win.

I think this could be Roddicks final. We all know what his serve is like, if he can steal a break or two off Federer than it's in his hands. Go Andy!

haha probably true.

Will be good to see if Fed can break Roddicks 140+mph serve though

Even with Roddick's pretty pacey serve, I see Federer a lot more likely to break than Roddick. Off Rodick's serve today, especially in the third set, Johansson was gettin him into quite a few ralleys, but Roddick just managed to pull through... if Federer had been on the other side of the court it would have been a different story.

My prediction:

1st set Fed wins by a break, 2nd set Fed wins in tiebreak, 3rd set Fed wins by a break

Can someone answer my question? How come you don't see top single players playing doubles anymore? Like the William sisters do not play doubles anymore. Also how does Todd Woodbridge (double tennis players)be ranked compared to someone who only plays singles?
Kuznetsova and Mauresmo are in the final of the Women's doubles tomorro.
Might have been Mauresmo winning the singles instead of Venus if she wasn't tho!

Johanssen should have won today. He had 3 set points in the 3rd set and would have won the last set as well barring a net chord (most likely). Roddick was extremely unlucky.

As with Davenport, that was a real shame. Served for the match in the 2nd set along with a break up in the 3rd and having a match point along with 2 points from the title on a further 2 occassions. Big shame, that was her title.

As for tomorrow, Federer in 3 sets; I don't rate Andy Roddick too highly tbh.

Just a shame that the outcome of the 2 matches today didn't go to the deserved player, especially the women's final. It always seems that the better players on paper get the luck when they need it. Being on the brink of defeat about 5 times and ending up winning is luck, not skill.

Ohh well, that's sport; it sucks.

Davenport was good, she had championship point and was close to winning the match on a few occasions.

She didnt win because Venus had fighting spirit and came back, not just luck.

Ditto, Roddick was kinda lucky, match could have gone either way tbh.

They just dont have tie breakers in last sets.
Is this all tennis games, or only in the final?
