I think the whole McGrath and Lee thing was to put England off tbh. And they're both bowling pretty damn well at the moment. Still 18-0 (plus a dropped catch :dong: ) - could be worse! COME ON ENGLAND!!!

second wicket stand is looking promising though...how are the settling in? (reading numbers on the screen at work just isn't the same!)

Seems to be going well. Outfield's quite slow so it's not reaching the boundary always. Pitch ain't doing too much. Lee's back in the attack, England seem more comfortable against him now though..

i heard about the outfield...they must have been blowing out of their @rses if they managed to run 4!
Sounds like this could be promising - first century of the series looking likely?
isn't vaughan at about a run a ball too?

Australia are bowling crap at the moment. The Trescothick drop catch could prove very costly.

I think England will get a lot of runs on the board. They've proabably rushed McGrath to fitness, so he wont be bowling his best (hopefully).

#2 is Aminul Islam, don't know about the record?

McGrath was bowling fine but it was Lee in his 2nd spell and Gillespie that let England get away.

McGrath isn't looking his usual self at all. Quite a few very average balls, which is completely unlike him.

Vaughan seems much, much more confident today, though. He's moving his feet far better than he has been for months, and he could be in for a big score here - he managed it for Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago, so there's no reason why he shouldn't.

1 over really. Lost count how many times he's beaten the bat in the other 7 overs. Amazing.

Vaughan's doing really well at the moment. I only hope it lasts and England can get a huge total on the board.
