    Longclose Diorama.

I don't show anymore, I gave up in 2003 As I'm away at school and really don't have time anymore. But yes, used to do all the BSPS/HOYS/RI competitions. She was 3rd HOYS 2001, 4th HOYS 2000 and 10th HOYS 1999

Hopefully going to the Warleigh Stud in Suffolk to be put to Warleigh Sea Game - he's a fab little stallion and they should produce some lovely stock.

What's yours called? And i'm assuming you do workers, then!

How many are in the squad?

I'd take Matt Prior as back up keeper, Tremlett and Kirtley as back up fast bowlers. I'd give Panesar a chance as the second spinner. Butcher as back up to top order, Joyce as back up for the middle order and Collingwood as back up for Freddie.
I believe the squad is 16.

Kirtley is an interesting choice, but his action has been under a cloud before. I doubt Butcher will be picked with England going forward. The rest are good choices.

Well I've finally gotten round to sorting my lessons out and have now switched to a week night lesson, which according to my instructor is more advanced. I'm quite pleased because I didn't feel like I was really progressing in the other lesson, I was just comfortably plodding along. I don't think the new lesson will be much different, just higher jumps (yay) since we already do loads of lateral work in the flat lessons and we're expected to be able to work the horse on the bit. I'm so excited now, yay!! I should hopefully get more variety in what I ride too, apparently I'll be the shortest in the lesson, which means I'll have to ride the smaller horses, but they have quite a nice selection of 14.2's and I won't have to share them with all the other short people now!!

Congrats Ditzy It's always nice when lessons move forwards and I remember you saying you were a bit put off by yours.

Wzz has agreed we can get a horse, going to look at one next week. 16hh 13yr old bay TB gelding. Imported from USA, did hunting and novice BE. 100% in all ways. Looking forward to it as I was going to look at a mare who I was really hoping to get and she sold yesterday.

Yay, the actually lessons will probably be exactly the same (my instuctor tends to do the same lesson all week pretty much) but with a bit more height in the jumping!! I so pleased because I really didn't want to change riding schools (I've been going there nearly 15 years now) but I was starting to think I wouldn't have much choice if things didn't pick up!!

You're so lucky, I want a horse!! :hmpf: Maybe I need to get myself a rich boyfriend to buy me one!! I've already decided thats what I'm spending my first lottery winnings on!!

Wow they are amazing results! I've seen quite a few Warleigh ponies in past years and they are all amazing; especially Warleigh Small Talk! I'm sure the foal will be to die for, with the combination of mare and stallion. How old is you mare now? Did you home produce her when she was competing or have her produced?

My horse is called "Black Shamrock" hes a 15hder and surprisingly black! He hasn't done workers for that long, as I used to showjump him. He went to RIHS last year ad is going to HOYS this year- my first time  . I'm building his fitness up atm, went on a two hour hack this morning, and am taking him indoors this weekend, I think I've left my preparation too late! How did you find HOYS your first time? I need to buy ear plugs and calmer!

Everyone else's horses have good show names  I'm sure you'll be fine at HOYS, just take lots of rescue remedy or something! Have you figured out how you're going to sneak out of college yet?

Well the weekend I go is the weekend of the "nannies and nanettes formal dinner" so I'll miss that, which I think is quite important.

I'm going to speak to my tutor as soon as I get there, but I don't think they will be impressed! Or I coul just go without permission, what would you do?

Um...well whilst tutors may not be completely impressed I would rather talk to them than do it anyway and get caught, I think. It depends on who your tutor is. Have you asked your nanny for advice? They'll know how flexible things are at Catz.

When are you going to look for something new? What are you looking for?

About on par with Jones?! But the need for a specialist keeper, ie Read, is no longer part of cricket.

Yeah Prior is a wicketkeeper batsman. Very useful batsman at number 7 IMO. He could also be called into the squad for his batting alone.
We should have picked Joyce as a back up batsman, we don't need to bring three spinners, Udal is nearing the end of his career and Loudon spins the ball less than giles does!

I didn't realise Shaun Udal was still going until I found out about this They'll be calling John Emburey up next.
