Maths!!!

Anyone do core 4 and comprehension maths paper today?!!? How'd you find it? Oh, and the exam board is MEI- part of OCR! :confused:

was it anything like P3, cos i did that today. (OCR - MEI) its the old syllabus i think and it had a comprehension paper too.

I thought it was pretty good- for C4 anyway! the comp was a bit complicated but i answered all the questions which is a start!

I thought the actual paper was preeettty good - did 1-5 no probs, BIG vector qn (8) no probs at all, qns 6 and 7 (the decay of a chemical thing) struggled on and missed bits! The comp was okay :smile:

I needed proof for my dad that Phi (divine ratio 1.618) existed as I was fascinated by it after reading it in the Da Vinci Code and he snubbed it off!! so now it was in an exam he couldnt really moan so much

Oh but the opening paragraphs of the comp sounded like someone had written them.. how to say.. under the influence?!

It would really put my mind at rest if you said that core 4 was not that easy and that the comp wasn't easy either. I ran out of time in both papers! Which is a bit a bummer!!! The differential equation on section B was hard I thought, and i didnt have enough time to finish the vectors question. On the comp, 8 pages!!!!!!!!!!! come on man.... that was just well harsh, reading rubbish! i just couldnt do the last one, as i spent too long reading the 8 page book on aliens- GREAT! :mad:

i know. talking to aliens with maths and how we use numbers to the base 10 because we have 10 fingers so aliens with 8 fingers would use it to the base 8!!! made me smile anyway!
