Farhan, it's been a while. - Mine is simply an archive to document my anime reviews. I think I may have shown it to you before, but maybe not. - You can access it here.
It's been too long. :colondollar: Ah yeah I've seen that one before  I was wondering what someone meant when they said they can't read part the title or something.
farhan
Says the one who watches Hentai. :spank:

Who are you, ceiling cat?
Matisse
Yes, I was referring to Javascript, not Java, and you can use Javascript with Wordpress, which is the case here, even though WordPress is written in PHP. I'm assuming you've worked extensively with WordPress too?

Well, I'm pretty familiar to web development, so the principles hold for most things.

I have to abruptly go, I have a neighbour from hell who has just shouted at me for glancing at her garden. Woops.

AMF didn't like my placement of each title. :giggle: - Yeah, we should catch up on MSN sometime.

I work as an art director, coming very much from a design background, not a programming one. I actively work alongside people who specialise in web development, thus have acquired an understanding, if only to ensure that the team understand what I'm intending to achieve on behalf of the client. Curiously, do you have much experience with ActionScript 3, particularly in regard to working with XML? If you do, I might have some work for you.

Unfortunately not, Flash is proprietary software which doesn't fly very well with my life of running Linux. If you need help from a general perspective, I can probably help, but language-specific nuances for ActionScript won't be my forte.

My neighbour was completely bizarre, accusing me in a shouting voice for 5 minutes while I tried to calm her down. The dialogue went something like this:
"I saw you do it last night at 8"
"Do what?"
"I have evidence, we saw you do it!"
"Do what?!"
"Don't try and say you didn't!"
"I have no idea wh-"
"You were looking in my garden when you came back"
*flabbergasted by the triviality of the issue*
"W-w-what's wrong with that?"
"I can't sleep at night because of it, and I'm calling the police!"

I honestly thought do it, and I still do, because I haven't done a single thing wrong, in my opinion. If you had gave me that dialogue as your perspective, I'd think that it's a Rashomon-esque story with a misinterpretation and bits of truth hidden, but it's genuinely not. I have a neighbour from hell.

No, that's kind of my argument. People play violent video games and listen to violent music all the time without anything bad happening, then as soon as something bad does happen, violent media is instantly to blame. Music kind of plays a part in youth culture so with Columbine people blamed music alongside high school cliques, which was wrong in itself. It's human nature to blame someone, it's just kind of ****** up that they blamed music and not America's stupidly lax gun laws.

Agreed...there's an advert with Russle Howard on tv at the moment (wow I remembered the name of a person on tv :p: ) which makes the point that listening to chill-out music isn't blamed for laziness....

My previous agency is currently re-branding Jigsaw, the fashion clothing store, and the website is an integral part of the campaign. They were looking to outsource the work to someone who had experience in this area, with preferably a portfolio of work to demonstrate this.

Anyway, your neighbour doesn't seem too friendly. Maybe you have a creepy look about you?

If you lived next door to my auntie you'd understand the issue...every morning she's just 'casually' looking through her window into our kitchen...every single day of my life....it's convenient living next door to the person your stalking :grumble:

Programming is merely a hobby, not a job. I only find it enjoyable to solve problems so I don't keep a portfolio of stuff; besides, web development work is quite tedious and dull. :p:

I don't know. I probably give off the wrong impression by being a recluse. I keep myself to myself. Another point is, the houses are attached, so it's pretty much an impossibility to enter my house without looking in her garden. A piece of wood is what separates our two doors.

She must be paranoid and creative with her interpretation of things :wtf: I've been subject to similar people :hmpf:

I used to live in Waterloo, directly opposite the London Eye, upon which anybody could potentially see into my apartment, given the large windows that are ever so common with modern apartment complexes in London.

Prime location :p: I'm guessing you had some curtains? It'd be interesting to see how many people actually try to look through people's windows when they're on the london eye :s-smilie:

I'd be inclined to say that, but I might have misheard her as it seems far too trivial of an issue, so I'd better keep an open mind. Maybe I've been sleepwalking. :s-smilie:

That's okay, just thought I'd enquire. In my case, for my profession, possessing an understanding is all that's required, not proficiency. Aside from this, I've learnt HTML/CSS in order to realise any design interface I create, like this one for WordPress. I do have a reasonable understanding of ActionScript 2, but Adobe decided to release 3, which is completely different, lending itself to 2 only. It's annoying, but I'm still coming to terms with it. I've also experimented with Processing for a collaborative exhibition with a friend of mine we held.

When I first moved to London, I lived in the north west, away from the center. My friend Rika moved to this new apartment complex (at the time), believing that anywhere outside the center is dangerous (ignorance from a foreigner). She lived there for her entire time in London, with her flat-mate changing practically every year. I was the last person to move in with her. It was nice to be centrally located, but the constant noise of traffic wasn't that great. Regarding the London Eye, you'd need to be at a certain point on the wheel to align with my apartment, and the majority of the people weren't looking, or at least, not consciously. How I know this? Camera lens. :ninja:

Thanks for the offer, anyhow, it's not entirely unappreciated; I'm still a bit tense from her shouting, so my manners are missing at the moment. :o: (And rereading my posts, I seem to be coming off as incredibly condescending...) I did too learn those once upon a time, but as I've gotten older, I've grown an affection for simply the default browser rendering. :p: I'm hopeless when it comes to art, even appreciating it. :s-smilie:

I must admit, the language looks incredibly similar to a lot of object-oriented languages. According to Wikipedia, it's only the API that has been changed around extensively (as opposed to the syntax), so isn't it a case of just learning where everything has been placed now? :giggle:

I was only kidding. :giggle:

Even if you were kidding, it's a good point. People naturally lean to their instincts, and if I give a bad impression to her, I probably give it to a lot of people. That's probably not good for me in the long run, even if my ideal job is in academia where that shouldn't matter too much. (Sure, it shouldn't matter anywhere.)
