I've actually got a chance of getting a "Top 5" in Electronics (on AQA) :p:. It would be soooo cool if I did...

yeah, but surely then literally hundreds, if not thousands of people would get a top 5 in edexcel maths?

Top5 marks you are told... but top5 people you get a certificate and letter from the exam board. 15people got one of the top 5marks in country (or so they say/were told) in R.S. last year from my school (according to RS dept. anyway) and a couple people got top 5 in country letter from exam board for various subjects.

My teacher said he wouldn't be surprised if I were to get a top 5 in AQA electronics so I guess you are my adversary henryT . For maths it's hard to tell, most people in my school get 100% in maths.

Yeah, it's definitely top 5 marks, and I'm pretty sure more than 15 people get them, from what I know, they're not that uncommon. It technically should be everyone that gets either 100%, 99%, 98%, 97% or 96% shouldn't it?

last year we had 4 guys get top5s for AQA eng lit GCSE from my school.

It's defo the top 5 (raw) marks, and not the top 5 people.

MY friend is a "pink kangaroo" which means he is the top 25% of the top 5% at maths in the country. He gets like 100% on all the papers but does no work in class, =/ it sucks

Last year two people in my class got top 5 at statistics (AQA) he beat hence he is top 4

if he was so good he would have taken the IMO, not Kangaroo

edit: i mean intermediate maths olympiad, not international maths olympiad...
