Well I've recently gotten into a relationship with a guy and it's been going really well. I like him a lot and I love spending time with him and I think he feels the same way. However, I keep thinking too much about things and I start to create imaginary problems and I worry about them and I freak out. For example, over the past two days I've been thinking that he's gonna get bored of me and that I'm boring etc and I have no idea where I got that from but the thought keeps growing in my head and now it's almost all I can think about. I know it's all in my head but I don't know what to do about this or how I can stop it because it's getting out of control and I hate it. I usually try to remain positive but it's getting really hard. Is this normal? Am I crazy? What can I do?

No, you're not crazy. Sounds to me like you are overly anxious or worried and have developed a negative schema (i.e. things will go wrong). I suggest seeing your doctor for some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy if it's having a severely detrimental effect on your life.

And always ask yourself....are my thoughts based in reality?

Thank you . Well so far it hasn't affected my life so negatively but I'm worried that it might. I guess I could do that.
